Jackal of Nar Review

Jackal of Nar Review

Well I finished the book, “The Jackal of Nar” finally! It’s a pretty thick book. It had a excellent, albeit well used, storyline. I did get “bogged” down in the romanticism, but that’s just me. lol Luckily there is a whole lot more action than romance. The hero/main character is a bit wimpish/immature for the part he was to play, still it was a decent book. Once again…I wouldn’t rush out to buy it, but if it’s free and close by then i recommend it. That being said, I went to the library yesterday & picked up the 2nd & 3rd books of this Trilogy (Of Tyrants and Kings by John Marco) as he did leave a few unanswered questions. Part 2 is HUGE! I do hope he doesn’t fall into that rut that a lot of authors fall in; the filling of hasf the book reminiscing about everything in the last book. It happens to way too many writers of series & Trilogies. I already have some problems & compliments in part 2, but I will keep them to myself until the end.
Thanks for stopping by.
Peace

Shadowmancer

I finally finished this book . I thought at first it was going to be a great book. I still do think it is a good book, although a little more juvenile than I prefer. All in all though I think it would be a great book for a young adult.

Shadowmancer

I am in the middle of reading this book, Shadowmancer by G.P. Taylor. This is his first book and it is the bomb! I am only half way through it and I am thrilled with it! I think everyone, from young adults, to old farts like me will definitely enjoy this book. It is about the age old struggle between good & evil, but in a unique story. The author originally published this book himself by selling his motorcycle. (According to the dust jacket flap) It became so popular that a big publisher picked it up and republished. The prestigious British Faber and Faber? If you like spooks and spirits, angels and demons, heroes and villains, then you will love this book. But don’t just take my word for it…go to your local library & pick up a copy. ๐Ÿ™‚

If you like book series try these.

I have been reading Terry Brooks “Shannara” epic series. I don’t remember exactly how many books are in the series, but I do know I have read almost everyone of them & have become a big fan of his! If you like Druids & Elves & Demons then you will love a lot of the series. If you are more into an Armageddon type series with a more modern setting, but still in the huge circle of this series then you are in for a treat! THis has it all!! ๐Ÿ™‚
